Beautiful and lively family beaches within 10 minutes a little more if you decide to go there by bike.

The beaches mentioned are supervised during the summer (July and August) and equipped with showers and toilets. Pets are prohibited all year round.

In Binic-Étables-sur-mer

  • Plage du Moulin: 6 min. Family beach and amenities. Restaurants close by.
  • Plage des Godelins: 6 min. Large beach with 1900s charm with bath cabins and diving board.
  • Plage de la Banche: 9 min. The largest beach next to the port is complete with a seawater pool, paddling pool, shops and restaurants. Beach club, petanque courts and entertainment in the summer.
  • Plage de l'Avant-Port: 10 min. Beach near the pier, at the end of the Surcouf dock. Cabins available and a children’s playground.

In Saint-Quay-Portrieux

  • Plage du Casino and du Châtelet: 7 min. The Casino beach is popular with families for its fine sand (even at high tide), the seawater pool with diving board and paddling pool, the beach club and mini-golf during the summer. Additional surrounding amenities include parking, shops, restaurants, and bars. On the other side of the pool and sheltered by the cliff is the more intimate Châtelet beach.
  • Plage de la Comtesse: 9 min. Another beautiful beach in St-Quay, bordered by the GR34, overlooks the island of the Comtesse. Visitors can reach the ruin of an old fort at low tide.

In Plouha

La plage Bonaparte: 15 min. 15 min. Accessible at low tide, this wild beach, Anse Cochât, will surprise you with its immense expanse of fine sand accessible only by a tunnel dug into the cliff. World War II enthusiasts will discover its glorious past:: Shelburn network. The panoramic view from the Shelburn network commemorative stone is spectacular and accessible to the disabled.

Horseback riding

  • 5 min. The Étables-sur-mer equestrian center, a 5-minute drive from the manoir, offers pony or horseback riding lessons, ideal for beginners or advanced. Horseback riding excursions in the forest are offered in autumn/winter (October to mid-March). Beach riding is offered in the summer.
  • 25 min. The Saint-Brieuc equestrian center offers horseback riding on the beach all year round.

Hiking on the GR®34

Go on the GR34, also called the "customs walk", to discover the beautiful cliffs of the Côtes du Goëlo, between Saint-Brieuc and Paimpol. They offer you beautiful hikes with incredible panoramic views of the sea.

Water sports

9 min. From the nautical bases of Saint-Quay-Portrieux and Binic-Étables-sur-mer, you can embark on crazy adventures at sea. You can rent catamarans, dinghies, windsurfing board, paddles, kayaks, and fin boards. Private lessons are offered for certain activities as well as family fun outings. For the young sea enthusiast, there are internships organized during the school holidays.

The essentials Emblematic places between land and sea

  • The unusual port of Gwin Zegal 15 min in Plouha. At the foot of the highest cliffs in Brittany, succumb to the charm of this small old-fashioned port where boats are moored to wooden piles planted directly in the sand.
  • Paimpol 30 min. A concentrated area filled with the Breton marine spirit that is worth a visit. This city is animated by its restaurants, cafes and shops, historic houses and colorful marina.
  • Abbaye of Beauport 30 min in Paimpol. Emblematic monument of the Côte du Goëlo, Beauport abbey stands facing the sea on a natural area of 120 hectares. It has become a place of conversation, discoveries, visits, exhibitions and cultural entertainment throughout the year.
  • Ile de Bréhat A treasure of the Côtes d’Armor, ideal for a whole day in the open air.
    40 min by car to the Pointe de L’Arcouest pier, then 10minutes of boat crossing to the Bréhat archipelago ( every day, all year round). Possibility of boarding from Saint-Quay-Portrieux or Binic on certain dates. Vedettes de Bréhat
  • Château de la Roche-Jagu 45 minutes in Ploëzal. A historic area overlooking the Trieux valley: walks, shows, exhibitions, workshops and meetings display the cultural season of this Trégor monument. The park and the remarkable garden of La Roche-Jagu are accessible all year round.
  • The Côte de Granit Rose and Perros-Guirec 1 hour. Starting point: Perros Guirec is an emblematic city on the Pink Granite coast. You can take boat trips for a sea excursion around the archipelago of the 7 islands to discover the oldest French ornithological reserve. You can also enjoy the coast on foot; to discover granite rocks carved by the elements, the illustrious lighthouse of Ploumanac’h, the cove of St-Guirec and the superb beaches of Perros, Tregastel or Trébeurden.
  • Cap Fréhel and Fort La Latte 1 hour. 2 sites on the Emerald Coast that offer incredible views of the sea. Enjoy a beautiful hike on the GR34 between the 1950 lighthouse, one of the most powerful in France, and the old fortress of 14th century classified as a Historical Monument since 1925.
  • Mont-Saint-Michel 1h30. For a day or weekend, visit the famous rocky islet and its bay, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. Unique in its aesthetics and importance as a medieval Christian site, you will discover the village with its ramparts, the abbey, and museums.

You will find food shops and services ( bakeries, fish shop, grocery stores, pharmacies…) in the city center of Étables-sur-mer ( 3 min), Binic ( 7 min) and Saint-Quay-Portrieux ( 7 min)

The Super U supermarket in Binic-Étables-sur-Mer is open Monday to Saturday from 8 :45 a.m to 7 :30 p.m and on Sunday morning from April 1st to September 30th (9a.m to 12 :30p.m).
